What does hyperlipidemia have to do with having or removing skin tags?
A safe way to do it without having to worry about infection would be to tie it off with fine string or fishing line. After tying it off, leave it alone and it should fall off in 3-5 days. After it falls off, use cortisporin cream (cort-aid) to reduce scarring and irritation.
advice, use a very cold compressed gas. Like holding a can of air duster upside down, or a N2O whippet and fewwze it off. But itll prolly grow back.
warnings, dont try this at home.
I actually cut mine off with scissors… I had two big ones and it was bothering me, and being on my neck… it was an eyesore to me. One I cut at the base of the tag and it hurt a little… there is a little piece of skin still there you know from where it was hanging at… and the second one I cut wrong and cut the skin tag in half.. it scabbed over and it fell off completely… I haven’t got it back…
I had a skin tag removed by the doctor . . . and then I thought that was a waste of a couple hundred dollars!! So the next time I had one, I performed some home surgery. I followed exerything the doctor did.
Swab the area with some antiseptic, and get some tiny but SHARP scissors. I used a brand new pair of nail scissors. Wipe them down as well. Pull the skin tag so its taut, and then snip at the narrowest place. Take a cotton ball and apply some pressure to the area. You might just want to go ahead and tape that cotton ball on there, because they can bleed for a while.
And you’re done.
